Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Murtazam is an expert in Cardiology and commenced his practice at KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital effective May, 1995. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from National University of Malaysia in 1982, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCP Ireland) in 1987 and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) in 1987.
 

Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Murtazam was a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Institut Jantung Negara (IJN)from 1989 to 1995. He is well experienced in clinical cardiology, non-invasive cardiology, cardiac catheterization and cardiac angiography, permanent cardiac pacemaker implantations, coronary angioplasty, balloon mitral valvuloplasty (Inoue technique) and radiofrequency ablation.

He was the pioneer of invasive electrophysiology in Malaysia, specializing in heart rhythm disturbances.
